Give your whole family an opportunity to unwind among military families from all branches of service.
We consider it a privilege to host events for local military families and their supporters, providing a relaxing environment for adults and children.
These events will vary, but usually include refreshments, deployment-related crafts, gym activities, and the built-in support of other local military families!
Call the office at (716) 433-9014  or e-mail us for more information or to be placed on our contact list.
Our next event will be scheduled soon.  Please click here to see a sample flyer as an example of the kinds of events we host.

After all you have done for us and our country, please allow us the privilege of serving you.

Local Support Team: From personal help in finding local resources to assisting with activities or refreshments at unit family events, we have a team of people who would consider it a privilege to support you in any way we can while your loved one is away. Please let us know how we can help.

Nationwide Support: Operation Enduring Comfort is connected with a nationwide network of care through local LC-MS congregations called Operation Barnabas. This network allows us to help families near us, or connect families further away with resources near them. Visit www.operationbarnabas.org and click on Families for more information!

All Operation Enduring Comfort activities are supported by dedicated volunteers and funded by donations. If you would like to help support our efforts please contact us for more information.

Are you interested in being a resource to people in your local community? It can take a little persistance to identify the resources available to military families in your area and figure out what you can offer. Here are a few places to start:

Troop Support Prayer Pins

Troop Support Prayer Pins are being made by volunteers at St. Peter and are offered free of charge. Names of individual service members are displayed on the pin under a U.S. flag formed by beaded pins and a yellow ribbon. The pins are intended as a show of support for our troops and a reminder to pray for them. They are available to anyone free of charge, and it is possible to place more than one of these pins together if more than one loved one is deployed.

Pillowcases and T-Shirt

Pillowcases or T-shirts with a picture of a deployed loved one are being offered free of charge to families of deploying and deployed soldiers. You may wish to have a Pillowcase and/or T-shirt with a picture of your deployed loved one and/or send a pillowcase with a picture of yourself to your deployed loved one.

    Please Note:
  • Pictures will need to be emailed (preferred method) or mailed to the church for the project to be completed.
  • Cell phone pictures may be used but may not be as clear when enlarged
  • We may need to enlarge and/or edit a copy of the image you submit to fit the item you have selected.
  • All pictures received will be returned with your items.

Comfort Buddies

Soft 10" pillow-doll of your deployed loved one. Please submit photo of your loved one in a "standing at attention" pose with arms at sides. Photos must be from head to toe if possible. Hats are optional in photos. Dolls are made from white t-shirts. "COMFORT BUDDY" logo is imprinted on back.

Extended Family and Other Supporters: Though these gifts are intended for local service members and their families, we are also happy to take requests from others who want to show support for a service member. We would appreciate a donation toward project costs to help ensure that these items are available for our local deployed/deploying troops and their loved ones.
